Fairly OddParents has cable’s top original movie of 2011!

We’ve got all of you to thank for making Butch Hartman’s FOP one of the top cartoons of the last decade, and now the first fairly odd live action movie has been rated the top original cable movie of this year. Details are here, but you and 5,799,999 of your closest friends were doing something right last Saturday night.

As part of a big morning of premieres this Saturday on Nickelodeon, Fairly OddParents episode #321, “Double-Oh Schnozmo!, will finally see its TV debut having already made the online rounds. Designers George Goodchild, Ernie Gilbert, Gordon Hammond, and Mike Dougherty, along with painters Dan Chessher and Kristin Donner were responsible for the title cards in this, the seventh, season of FOP.

Title card for “The Big Problem!,” from season one, first broadcast in 1822 Okay, so I have no idea how long these have been available, and sorry for not mentioning it before (which would’ve been impossible, my not knowing they were available and all), but the first two complete seasons of Fairly OddParents are now streaming from NetFlix (seriously, when did this start?). This means you have at your fingertips more than seventy FOP shorts, along with longer cartoons including Abra-Catastrophe. What a sweet deal. Nick has put a bunch of its cartoons on the site for instant viewing, including Rocko, Ren & Stimpy, Real Monsters, and Angry Beavers. This is all good news (though if Chalkzone and Teenage Robot were available, it’d be even better news). You can start off your personal OddParents marathon by beginning with season one right here. — Eric

“Super Zero” Script Will Schifrin and Ray DeLaurentis’s script for “Super Zero”

First Dave Thomas scores a juried Daytime Emmy for his storyboarding the episode “Dadbra-Cadabra.” Now Fairly OddParents gets a pair of nominations in the competitive categories, it was announced yesterday.

First, re-recording mixers Ray Leonard and Michael Beiriger earned a nomination in the category of Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing - Live Action and Animation. They’re up against the sound mixers on a couple of Cartoon Network shows, Mr. Men and Hot Wheels Battle Force 5. Congratulations and good luck, Ray and Michael.

In the Outstanding Writing in Animation category, a full eleven FOP writers are nominated for their work on the show:
